10 Piece Twist Flex Lock Pick Set

Excellent for a newcomer. They take a little bit to get used to the twisted design, but once you've figured out your own personal technique, they're really quite nice. Minor complaint is that with the bend at the top, the tools themselves can bend a bit too much on a stiffer lock, but a change in technique is all that's needed to overcome. Very happy with my purchase!

I'm fairly new to picking locks and am learning everyday. I have already progressed to the point that I wanted a serious set of picks and tension tools but not near enough advanced to justify lots of money. I ran into Southern Specialties strictly by mistake and as it turned out had a set that seemed to meet my meager budget but provided a very nice assortment. I just received the set and had to give my impressions right away. These really feel good in the hand and are actually finished nicely on all surfaces. My first lock with this set was one with security pins in two positions and I got it rather quickly the first time I tried. I couldn't be happier with the set and Southern Specialties.
