Folding Pocket Set - 8

This is the best folding pick set I have come across. The side locking mechanism is so well thought out. It locks firmly, where others I have used, just fail, or you constantly are tightening the screw. I love all the extra picks, and tensioner that are included! Thanks for a great product!!!

I love the locking bar to keep the picks in place compared to the other jack knives I owned in the past, not to mention the wide selection of picks I can request and replace.

Item was shipped quickly with the picks I requested. I thought this thing was going to be big but when I received it, the device was pleasantly smaller than I expected. Not only is the quality really nice, but the lever is solid and keeps the pick in place, and is a lot lighter than the traditional jack knifes I had in the past. I bought this as a gift for a friend, but now I, going to order one for myself!

Perfect tool for my EDC kit. If you're looking for something to have at all times or to put in your pocket here and there, choose this. I'd definitely recommend it.

This is a fantastic tool! The city rake (saw tooth) is my favorite, and Lockpick Tools' version is superb. All of the picks/rakes have a low profile, which makes them easier to slide in and out of key ways than other brands. This is particularly useful for the Bogota; they also have a four-hump version. The best part: I was able to specify exactly which picks I wanted installed. I have all my favorites in one place. They also stay locked in place when in use MUCH better than a similar folding unit I have that uses a rotary knob to tighten them in place. I am very pleased and very impressed with this jack knife pick set from Lockpick Tools.

Out of all the pocket pick sets on the market. I think the ones offered by Southern Specialties are the best. I’ve purchased several of the nylon bodied pick sets as gifts. But I got the aluminum body one for myself. It’s an amazingly compact pick set that Southern Specialties will load with your favorite pick profiles if you request them. Just list the picks you want in the comment area before checkout. I have a full size pick set that I carry most days in my vest pocket. But I throw the aluminum pocket pick set in my pants pocket every day. It is as necessary in my EDC line up as my Swiss Army Knife. I never leave home without it. It’s a great tool at a price that can’t be beat.

I just wanted to let Southern Specialties know how pleased I am with the FPS-8 pocket pick set. It has a great feel and the picks lock in place very well. I also like that I was able to custom order the picks in the set and I'll be able to change out picks, that I make or purchase, in the future. This will be my EDC going forward. I've notched the tension wrench for TOK or BOK use. Thanks again for a great product.

There are several things that stand out about this set of picks. 1) the lever lock makes it very quick and easy to open and lock a pick in place, much better that the set screw most other sets use. 2) it holds 8 picks where the plastic model only hold 7 and most other brands only hold 6. 3) it is very easy to customize which 8 picks you want without any tools and they also offer blanks to fit this set if you desire to make your own pick. 4) at .0019" they fit in most keyways. 5) lightweight. 6) reasonable price. 7) the slot the tension holder allows me to modify the handle end of the tension tool into a top of keyway tool. The only downside I can see at all, is it cold not be mistaken for a pocket knife, where other brands are designed to be covert in this fashion.

So good! Amazing set, beautiful and sturdy. The clamp works fairly well, potentially adjustable I think...already lost the tension tool but that’s a user error
